Executive Transition Services
It happens eventually in every organization: CEOs leave and organizations find themselves searching for new leadership. Where hasty transitions can put tremendous strain on the organization's staff, volunteers and relationships, a well-managed transition can be a time of renewal and growth. Sutherland~Edwards tailors each executive transition engagement to meet the unique needs of the organization, helping to achieve a smooth transition. Clients may choose from a broad array of services, including:
Interim CEO Staffing
Sutherland~Edwards can provide an experienced and dedicated nonprofit leader to serve as Interim CEO while your organization conducts a comprehensive executive search. Managing Partner, Christina Sutherland is available to work on-site three to five days a week to oversee the day-to-day operations of your organization until a new leader is in place. We will simultaneously act as “in-house” consultants, working closely with the Board and staff to assess and analyze the organization’s current capacity. The Interim CEO will also consult with the Board to map out a transition plan and an executive search process. A typical Interim CEO engagement lasts between four and ten months.
